Chapter 2.6

Chapter 2.6 Life Abundantly

I sat there, across my Xander. We had just finished our delicious meal at the Bistro and were staring longingly into each other's eyes.

I knew at this point that we were meant for each other and couldn't wait any longer. We got up to leave, and i told him to wait. I got down on my knee, which was a hassle in my 9 inch heels, and pulled out a ring. He immediately said yes.

We had a steamy make out session after that before we went home. I was so overjoyed that I was finally Engaged to the man I loved! As we were kissing though, I saw a couple camera flashes out of the corner of my eye and suggested to Xander we go home to finish this. But he told me to jest ignore them, this was our lives, not our fans.

For the next few months thing progressed slowly. I started my Job at the local hospital, and so did Xander. We spent many nights at my house at the kitchen table planning the dream wedding we had wanted. It would be Outside on a clear, crisp summer day in June. We decided that the colors would be green and orange, our favorite colors.

I had just finished getting dressed on the 17th of June in my designer Wedding dress that I loved from the day I saw it. Mom came in to tell me to go downstairs and butterflies were swarming in my stomach. I asked her "Do I look OK?" As I looked in the mirror and pulled a small bit of hair behind my ear. "Honey, You look magnificent! I can't believe you are getting married already. It seems like just yesterday you were falling on the balance beam during your first day at gymnastics, and now you are getting married! Now hurry on, It's time to start. Your dad is waiting downstairs and Chels is attempting to swat all of the paparazzi away, so hurry up!" The last part made me giggle, because no matter how hard they tried my parents couldn't get the paps to leave. I had gotten used to running and hiding when I was little and after I won the Olympics, the school gave me permission to do all my work from home for a few weeks until the hype died down. We all knew well that the paps weren't leaving anytime soon.

Dad walked my down the aisle with a faint tear in his eye. I got under the arch and looked at Xander happily. This was defiantly the best day of my life- minus the random camera flashes, but whatever! This is MY day!

After the ceremony was over and all the guests had left, Xander and I spent no time before hopping in bed for a restless night. I was secretly hopping that we would have another little Melody Child running around the house soon.

And that night wasn't wasted! Over the next few weeks there was lots of morning sickness, I walked into the bathroom after work one day and checked. I looked down into the sink and was, in fact, pregnant! I was  so happy!

I went down and sat beside Xander to tell him the news. I told him that I was pregnant with our first child (maybe children if this twin trend my parents had continues...) he was so incredibly excited, just like me!

He would walk up to me all the time and talk to my tummy, or feel my tummy for the little baby's feet, sometimes he would talk to the growing baby and I would just laugh at him embarrassing himself.

Xander and I also decided that since I was stuck at home for the next few months because they wouldn't let me work we could get the little puppy we have been looking at for a while. We brought her home and named her Carrie.

I loved playing with her outside after being cooped up all day at my computer working at home. She was so playful and brought so much joy to my day.

NOTES!

Here are the new house picture! I love it! It is a medditerranean style.

And while Chelsea was doing the laundry (A teenager doing the laundry? WHAT? haha) she found Abracadabra the magic laundry gnome. I sat him outside to look the next day and see him ontop the dryer in a handstand... I was laughing, It was my first gnome ever! don't judge :P
